Dr. Paul Cowles completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management with a minor in Religion at Baptist College at Charleston. He pursued graduate studies at Luther Rice Seminary and earned a Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary. He satisfied requirements for a Doctor of Ministry degree in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary. He is a native Floridian. He and his wife, Ann (a native of Dublin, Georgia), have called Friendship “home” since March 2005 (14 years). The Cowles family is blessed with two daughters, a son-in-law and one granddaughter. Dwight joined the Friendship Baptist Church staff in July of 2000. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education from Troy State University and a Master of Education degree in Religious Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was ordained into the ministry in 1988 and has been married to his wife, Linda, since 1984. They are the proud parents of two boys and love spending time with their two grand babies.
Dr. David King has served on staff at Friendship since 2016. He and his wife, Amber, have been married since 2003 and are the proud parents of two children, Delaney and Aiden. David is a big GA sports fan. He loves to eat BBQ and spend time with his family. David graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, master’s degree in Counseling and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Ministry. He has served as an executive pastor, family pastor, and student pastor in previous churches. David possesses a relational philosophy of ministry and strives to invoke Proverbs 3:5-6.
Jim has been on staff at Friendship since 2016. He grew up in Montezuma, Georgia. He has been married to his best friend, Jennifer, since 1998. They have one daughter, Savannah, who is a freshman in college. Jim earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern State university in special education and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Jim loves spending time with family and friends. He is a huge UGA fan, enjoys going to the shooting range, repurposing/refinishing furniture and playing golf and tennis. Jim served as an infantryman in the Georgia Army National Guard, worked with adults with disabilities and was a teacher for 17 years. He has a heart for building relationships with students and equipping them to be life-long disciples who make disciples.
Keith has served as the Children’s Ministry Director at Friendship since 2014. He and his wife, Kathy, have been married since 1974. They have two children and seven grandchildren. Keith loves to play golf, basketball, travel to the Smokey Mountains with Kathy and sing with the Sons of Jubal as they travel across the state and abroad. Keith graduated with a Master of Church Ministry degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He desires for all children to love and enjoy coming to church to learn about God as much as he did as a child.
