Paul Cowles completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management with a minor in Religion at Baptist College at Charleston. He pursued graduate studies at Luther Rice Seminary and earned a Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary. He satisfied requirements for a Doctor of Ministry degree in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary. He is a native Floridian. He and his wife, Ann (a native of Dublin, Georgia), became pastor in 2004 at Friendship. The Cowles family is blessed with two daughters, a son-in-law and one granddaughter.
Dwight Green, Minister of Music and Senior Adults. Dwight joined the staff in July of 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Troy State University and received the Master of Education degree in Religious Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Ordained to the gospel ministry in 1988 by his home church in Alabama. Married to Linda in 1984 and they are the proud parents of two boys. Life is grand.
Dr. David King has served as Minister of Education and Administration since 2016. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Master’s degree in Counseling and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Ministry. Prior to joining our Pastoral team, he served as Executive Pastor, Family Pastor, and Student Pastor. Dr. King is a certified Healthcare Chaplain, commissioned by the Southern Baptist Convention, and has over ten years of experience in this field and 20 years in ministry. He possesses a relational philosophy of ministry and strives to invoke Proverbs 3:5-6. He and his wife, Amber, are the proud parents of two children, Delaney and Aiden. Two things he enjoys most are GA Sports and eating BBQ.
Jim is a native of Montezuma, GA. He earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in Special Education and taught school for seventeen years. He is presently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to his best friend, Jennifer, for 20 years and has a daughter named Savannah. Jim loves to spend time with his family, and refurbish, re-purpose and build furniture. He has a heart for equipping students to be lifelong disciples who make disciples.
Keith graduated with a Master of Church Ministry degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is happily married with two daughters and seven grandchildren who give him so much joy each day. His goal is for children to love and enjoy coming to church to learn about God just as much as he did as a child.
